Missed collections
Open Credit Control > Missed Collections when an invoice’s automatic collection should have started but was never attempted.
What you need: Credit Control, customer and invoice access. You also need to list payments and the relevant cards, mandates and collection records.
What belongs here
Section titled “What belongs here”The list shows invoices whose customer has suitable automatic collection set up, where the scheduled creation date, or the bill delivery or download that should start the collection, has passed without a collection attempt.
Card payments triggered by bill delivery wait until the invoice is due.
Collections planned for a future date are excluded, as are invoices where a collection has already been attempted.
The other collection worklists cover different problems:
- Pending Payments lists payments created but awaiting submission, including overdue automatic submissions.
- No Auto-collection lists balances where setup is missing or unsuitable.
- Payments keeps failed or declined attempts.
Check a missed collection
Section titled “Check a missed collection”- Find the invoice and read its Attention reason.
- Check when the payment should have been created or sent, how it should be paid and how much is due.
- Open the linked record. Check whether the bill was sent and whether a payment is already in progress.
- Fix the cause, or use Add TODO to ask a colleague to follow up.
The reason shown reflects the current setup. Check the record before starting another payment, especially if the provider’s reply is still pending.
Each currency has its own total. The list shows only accounts and records you can access, within your chosen Credit Control scope.
Use shared attention decisions to record that no action is needed or pause an alert until follow-up.
